| How serious of a problem do I have? Surprise! If you are accused of violating your Probation or Community Control, you are NOT presumed innocent, as you once were before you entered your original plea or were found guilty at Trial.  (That is why on a Lake County felony V.O.P., for example, you stand a good chance of legally being denied all Bond.)  Also, you don’t get six Jurors... you just get one Judge.  Essentially if that Judge is convinced that you willfully and substantially violated the terms of your supervision, then ‘all bets are off’ and the gavel could lawfully come down to strike you with the maximum penalty for your offense(s).  Even if you are not a believer in worst-case-scenarios, do be assured that all V.O.Ps are like thin ice.  That is why I offer a free, no-obligation, office consultation. |
